Genervt von Handykameras: Die Queen zeigt sich 'not amused'.

Hier ein Foto, da noch schnell ein Selfie mit Queen Elizabeth II.: Wo immer die britische Monarchin auftaucht, schaut sie in ein Meer aus Mobiltelefonen. Und das passt der 88-Jährigen offenbar gar nicht.

London - Queen Elizabeth II ist einem Diplomaten zufolge "not amused" darüber, dass sie bei ihren öffentlichen Auftritten meist in zahllose Handykameras winken muss. Ihr fehle der Blickkontakt, soll die britische Königin dem US-Botschafter in Großbritannien, Matthew Barzun, gesagt haben. So zumindest erzählte es der Diplomat dem britischen "Tatler"-Magazin.

Bedienstete des Königshauses hatten bereits im vergangenen Jahr berichtet, die Queen sei bei einem Besuch des neu gestalteten BBC-Funkhauses während der gesamten Zeit gefilmt worden - von Mitarbeitern des Senders mit Smartphones. Die Monarchin habe dies als schlechtes Benehmen empfunden. Auch Musiker haben sich schon darüber beschwert, dass sie bei Auftritten ständig auf Handys statt in Gesichter schauen.

The 88-year-old therefore finds it strange to see nothing other than the backs of mobiles. The monarch perceived this as poor behavior. Musicians have also complained that they are constantly looked at by phones instead of faces during appearances.

Elizabeth II. scheint aber nicht immer genervt zu sein, wenn sie mit Handykameras fotografiert wird. Im Juli sorgte sie für Schlagzeilen, als sie auf einem Selfie zweier australischer Hockey-Spielerinnen auftauchte. Im Hintergrund des Bildes lächelt die Queen amüsiert in die Kamera.

Elizabeth II didn't seem always to be annoyed if photographed with phone cameras. In July she cared for the headlines, when she appeared in the selfie of two Australian hockey players. In the picture's background the Queen smiled amused into the camera.
